MAHA MERU is the Holy Mountain in Hinduism and some regard Mount Agung in Bali to be Maha Meru in the physical form. The Founder wanted to create an alternative surf brand whilst expressing his love for the popular surf tourism island Bali and to do it in a giving and natural way that does not exploit the land and its people.

The brand was born in 2018 with the help of friends in the surf community and in 2021, the first collection of boards and apparels was launched in Singapore with an enthusiastic reaction by the local surf community.

Recognising the need to nurture and promote healthy growth in small surf communities, Meru is looking to expand into these communities and show support and love to the underdogs in the global surf community.
